Cascade Clamp - Founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine store hiring only four people. Total sales for that particular year amounted to about 60 thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and other parts. Within 5 years of operation, the business had stretched to 40 employees and their annual sales volume had risen to $330,000. Today, Cascade is amongst the leading international producers in the material handling trade.

Design and production of the company's original hydraulic cylinder allowed this young company to aggressively engage in new business opportunities. All through the last 60 years, the industry of material handling has grown into a very advanced field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its development. Cascade currently continues to develop as the premier supplier of forklift accessories and numerous associated products. The business feels confident in their potential to be able to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding buyer's needs in the future and remaining aggressive within the world market.

In the 1950's, Cascade started designing, fabricating and selling hydraulic accessories. Construction was completed in 1956 on a new facility so as to accommodate all plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. Subsequent to 15 years of business, total employees reached a hundred and eighty staff and sales had reached practically two million three hundred thousand dollars.

1959 in Springfield, Ohio the next manufacturing facility was built. 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary transfer into the international world of the material handling industry while the company recognized interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

In the year 1964, the company altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. Afterward in 1965, the business went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing services throughout the continental US to the places Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already current plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are manufactured worldwide because of a lot of subsidiary operations. In 1994, a brand new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is built to be the ultimate customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 subsequent to acquiring five companies, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the international best in forks.
